Youth Conference

I just got back from the most amazing Youth Conference ever! Our church went to Nauvoo, Illinois!
We left Wednesday night and got back Saturday night. I will try to give you all the details but I do not remember exactly what days they happened so bare with me.

Okay so we all went to Carthage to meet at one of our churches there. We had registration and then we had a dance! The dance was a lot of fun! We were all kind of crazy because we were so excited for Nauvoo so that made the dance even better! We left Carthage at about 11 pm. The guys sat at the front of the bus and the girls at the back since it was an all night drive. If you have ever slept on a bus you know I'm not exaggerating when I say that I got about an hour of sleep the entire night.

Well when we finally made it to Nauvoo we were all dead tired but we couldn't go to the hotel until 11 am. So basically this meant no showers for us. After that we went to the stake center and ate breakfast then we went sight seeing! By the time we were done our feet were killing us, but it was so worth it! Then we went back to the stake center and ate lunch. We got to the stake center a little early for lunch so I ended up laying down in the halls and falling asleep. People kept thinking it would be funny to mess cause I was so tired. After I woke up I found a ring right next to me come to find out one of friends had thrown it at me to try to wake me up that didn't work. After lunch I found out that I would be able to go to the temple even though I wasn't going to be able to previously. Well after that some of the youth stayed at the stake center (they were going to the temple later) and the rest of us left to go do a service project. That didn't end to well we started the service project and then it started poring down rain we kept working until we started getting lightning and thunder and the leaders told us to run to the visitors center. We were so soaked! After it stopped raining we went back to the stake center and waited for the next 3 or 4 hours until we could go to the hotel. I saw this as another opportunity to take a nap! Again people thought they were so funny to mess with the sleeping girl... Yeah not so funny to me. After a while I just gave up on sleep. One of my friends kept taking pictures of me and i was so tired that she kept having to tell me she was taking pictures it was really sad... So she got a lot of pictures of me looking very dazed. Well I left the room for a while and when I come back I find out that my leader had been trampled by one of the guys who was playing basket ball. She had been sitting about 10 ft back from the line and one of the guys went for the ball and couldn't stop in time and my leader went head over heels off her chair. Another one of my leaders was telling me this story and he said he thought youth conference was going to be cut short having to take my leader to the hospital. But she was okay! A little while after that we were able to go to the hotel and we went swimming then we got ready and went out to get our dinner shortly after that we left for the temple. It was amazing! I had been having a long and hard day and after the temple I was so happy and able to enjoy the rest of youth conference. We went back to the hotel and ended up stuck in our rooms because of bad weather well later we were able to come out and hang out with friends.

The next day we went to the stake center and ate breakfast and after that we went and walked the trail of hope which was the path that the saints walked when they were leaving Nauvoo. After that most of us got to go sight seeing. We had fun with that mostly what we did though was walk slowly back to the stake center to load the buses and go to Carthage, Illinois. The spirit was very strong inside Carthage jail. It was a wonderful experience for me even though I had already been there before. After Carthage jail we went back to thestake center and played games and ate lunch. I can't remember what we did after lunch. Later we went and got ready for our dance that night and loaded onto the buses. When we got to the stake center we found out that the boys were going to escort the girls to the dance. Well I told one of my friends that he could escort me. When I got off the bus one of my other friends offered me his arm and I couldn't just say no so I took it. When my friend who I said could escort me came and sat with I told him I was sorry and he was still upset so I was like okay you can escort me out how about that? That cheered him up. Later after dinner I had got up to leave and he came over and grabbed  arm and I was like what are you doing then I realized I had told him he could escort me duh. We went and had a devotional it was really good we had three speakers and they spoke about the saints and all the trials that they went through so we could be here today. After that we had the dance! It was super fun Because one of my friends taught me how to swing dance some! After the dance we went home and hung out for a little while but quickly ended up going to bed.

The next day we got up earlier and went to testimony meeting it was really good and the spirit was really strong. Then we sang our youth conference song it's called "We believe" By Jenny Phillips. I was strong through the entire meeting even when I got up and bore my testimony but when we all sang that song I broke down and cried the spirit was so strong I couldn't help it. After that we went and ate breakfast and then went and packed up and checked out of the hotel and loaded up the buses and left for home!

Well there you have it the best Youth Conference I have ever been to!

My academic career

Well I guess it's about time I posted something on here.
Okay so first let me introduce myself a little I have been home schooled my whole life. I just took my GED and passed! I just received my first acceptance letter to a collage of course it's only a two year community collage but hey it's a collage. I will be starting classes this fall I'm still not sure what I want to study yet I will probably just do general education until I figure out what "I want to be when I grow up." When I finish up at the two year college I want to go on to a 4 year college. Right now I am thinking about becoming one of three things they are: 1.Lawyer
2.Veterinarian
3.Nurse
So I'm not really sure right now which way my life will go! But it will bean adventure for sure!
